Folder Lock merupakan sebuah program file-security  yang cepat sekali untuk digunakan proteksi dengan password, mengunci folder, menyembunyikan, dan enkiripsi beberapa file,beberapa folder, drive, gambar, dan dokumen dalam hitungan detik.

Memproteksinya dengan cara menyembunyikan file, undeletable/ tidak boleh hapus , inaccessible/ tidak boleh diakses dan kemanan tingkat tinggi. Hal ini dapat menyembunyikan file dari orang - orang yang kita anggap tidak penting,  kawan-kawan, teman kerja, menjaga dari virus, trojan, worm dan spyware, menjaga dari akses sharing sebuah network. dan hacker.

Proteksi tidak hanya dapat dilakukan pada harddisk tetapi dapat juga dilakukan pada media penyimpanan lain seperti : USB Flash Drive, Memory Stick, CD RW, Disket.

Katanya, Software ini bisa tetap memproteksi walapun file diambil dari sebuah PC ke PC lain dengan menggunakan removable disk, tanpa harus install software terlebih dahulu.

Folder Lock ini dapat berjalan pada seluruh versi Windows dengan tipe disk FAT16, FAT32, dan NTFS.
